But later before 2 days of the schedule the pickup upped point was changed to Zurich main station. When I went to the station no update/ no calls. When I called the provider I was told they couldn’t book me so they moved it to next day. Next day they said they will refund and asked me to go direct with Lindt. I am still waiting for the refund to be credited.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 50 reviews · 35 minutes (approx.) · from $25Best value

Meet a chocolate expert at Binningerstrasse 15 for a 35-minute English tasting of six grand cru chocolates, with cacao from different regions. You’ll hear about Swiss chocolate heritage, taste cacao beans and handmade pieces, and return to the same meeting point. The small room suits curious adults and older children best.

“My mom and I were really excited for this tour until her dad suddenly passed away hours before, and we didn't know what to do. I canceled the rest of our flights and hotels and asked to get this tour refunded as well. They said no and that they could've just moved the tour to another day for us. What an awful and strange response. I'm glad this wasn't an experience we had paid tons for, but a heads-up to be aware of the people behind it. If the guides are anything like them, the only tasting you'll get on this tour are of their sour and salty attitudes.”

“We had a fabulous time with our guide, Luis! We were the only people to sign up for the chocolate-making/factory portion of the tour and I would say that was one of my favorite parts! We had so much fun learning about chocolate and chatting with Luis along the way. He taught us so much about chocolate, Swiss history, and Swiss culture along the way. And he of course continued to do so throughout the walking portion of our tour as well! We were worried with the rain happening intermittently throughout the day that it would detract from the experience, but Luis did a great job guiding us through the…”

“our driver Prosper was personable and lots of fun. Loved the town of Gruyere and the castle. The cheese factory itself was a little cheesy and really didn't get to see much other than a walk thru but no one was working. The cheese shop/gift shop was great though as were the tasters. The chocolate tour left a lot to be desired. It was a Nestle company which is not the best chocolate in Switzerland. Thought this was going to be a small intimate chocolate factory where we would really see how chocolate is made and how candy was made. Aside from that the Nestle company has created a beautiful…”
